Oracle Cards Part Two: Reading Oracle Cards

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog - thank you for being here! Today’s post is Part Two on Oracle Cards - showing the basics of reading oracle cards!

In Part One last week, I shared my three oracle card decks: ‘The Moonology Oracle’, ‘The Starseed Oracle,’ and ‘A Yogic Path Oracle’.

Today in Part Two, I want to show you a quick and easy way to use oracle cards, and how to read multiple decks together at the same time. I’ll also add a Tarot card to the mix, and see how that helps add even more clarity to what the cards are trying to tell us!

I hope you find it helpful, and that it gives you the confidence to try these beautiful and ancient practices yourself.

What is your interpretation? Comment below what your thoughts are while looking at these cards! I'd also love to know what your experience with oracle cards is like! Have you tried using different oracle decks at the same time before? Do you use tarot and oracle cards together too?

I find it really interesting, as each deck has it's own guidance to share, and a unique voice to connect with, so using them in combination is almost like having a conversation with a group of friends!

Reading Oracle Cards

For today’s reading, I simply wanted to share a little guidance, so I asked the cards for general advice - what do I need to know right now? As I show you in the video, each card represented different things. But by using a combination of intuition, imagination, and the symbology present in the cards, it’s possible to piece together a story, or find meanings that connect, no matter how many cards are in front of you, and no matter what decks those cards are from.

The more I looked at the cards, the more meaning I could find. Patience is definitely crucial to any form of divination! Give yourself time and space to come to your conclusions, to really interpret the cards in-depth. As I get to know these oracle decks more, I hope to no longer need guidebooks, and to learn to trust my instincts.

In the video however, I do also read to you what the guidebooks say about each of the cards. Do you like the meanings given in the guidebooks, or would you rather come up with your own? I think the guidebooks are very helpful while still learning, and give you somewhere to start if you’re feeling a tad lost or overwhelmed. Especially when you try using different decks in combination!

To start with, I encourage anyone new to card reading to try one card from one deck at a time. But for this video, I felt drawn to read all three oracle decks at once, to really showcase each of the beautiful decks I own and love. I then really enjoyed adding a tarot card into the mix as well, to show the difference and get a little extra guidance! It’s not something I do every day, though it’s wonderful to do. Most of the time I just draw one card and deep dive into it’s meaning, really learning as much as I can from it.

So don’t let this reading overwhelm you! Take it one card at a time, one deck at a time, one system at a time. But I hope today’s video gives you an idea of the possibilities! It’s barely scraping the surface. I hope that I can delve deeper into the world of card reading, or cartomancy, in the future. I hope you’ll consider subscribing and joining me on this journey of spiritual discovery!
