'Crystals' by Cassandra Eason Book Review
The subtitle of ‘Crystals’ by Cassandra Eason is, “Everything you need to know to Heal, Cleanse, Love and Energise.” But is it everything you need to know about crystals?
In today’s video, I share my thoughts on this guidebook, from the perspective of a crystal lover! Featuring 500 crystals, their properties, and uses, along with so much more information - is it the only guidebook to crystals that you need? If you're interested in crystals too, you might be curious to learn more and not sure where to start. There are so many books out there, it took me a while to choose one!
So, I hope sharing my review of this book by Cassandra Eason really helps give you an idea of whether it’d be the right choice for you too!

I adore crystals. I always have, as long as I can remember. Most people admire them for their beauty, their use in jewellery, key chains and keepsakes. Almost anyone would agree that they are objects worth collecting and a lot of people have at least a few scattered throughout their house, even if simply used as pretty décor. I’ve had crystals for years, and I travelled overseas with a couple of them, somehow comforted by the handful of colourful stones, kept near me wherever I went.
But only recently did I start wondering why I love crystals so much. Why do I feel so drawn to crystals? What is it about crystals that makes me want to collect every possible variation, to surround myself with them, and simply just hold them?
Only recently did I start to understand my fascination. Only recently did I realise how powerful even the smallest of gems can be!
I’ve since tried using crystals in many ways. I can go into in greater depth about how to use crystals you’d like to know more, so let me know if that’s something you’re interested in! I can also show you all my different crystals if you want a closer look too, or make videos focusing on any one in particular if you’d like!
I use crystals every single day now, multiple times a day, and I absolutely love having them near me at all times. If for no other reason than just because they’re beautiful!
If you’re interested in crystals too, you might be curious to learn more and not sure where to start. I read so many reviews trying to pick a helpful guidebook that would include as much information as it could pack into it’s pages. I’m the kind of person who loves having quick reference books around, because sometimes the world of google and the internet in general can be a bit overwhelming! Plus there’s something so comforting and wonderful about flicking through a real life book.
So, when I wanted a crystal guidebook, ‘Crystals’ by Cassandra Eason is the one I chose - and so far, I believe it’s been a fantastic decision! I hope sharing my thoughts on this book, and showing you a close-up look into it’s contents, really helps give you an idea whether it’d be the right choice for you too!
This book is the only crystal guidebook I own, which seems to be more than sufficient at the moment for me. This book plus the odd quick google and YouTube video, has taught me so much about crystals already, and there’s still so much to learn – and so much to put to practice!
So, get yourself a cuppa and let’s delve into what I believe are the pros and (possible) cons!
~
The Positives:
There is a decent amount of information on each crystal, it’s well-structured and to the point featuring various topics.
The guidebook is easy to navigate and understand, especially considering there are 500 crystals listed! Aside from the index to look up any crystals you know the name of, the crystals are also listed by their colour which is super handy!
It includes a wonderful range of crystals, even including the significance of carved crystal animals, angels, pendulums and wands.
There is so much extra information on the crystal uses, benefits, history and so much more! It’s especially helpful for anyone new to the world of crystals.
For every crystal the following information is included, along with a photo (for an example, watch the video above for an in-depth look).
Name of the crystal
Crystal type
Colours
Availability
Physical benefits
Emotional healing
Associated chakra
Candle colour
Fragrances
Practical uses
Workplace
Magical significance
Divinatory meaning
Zodiac
Empowerment (an affirmation for the crystal)
A paragraph of extra information – a summary of the crystal, it’s history and uses
~
The (Possible) Negatives:
The text is quite small! Though given the size and weight of the book, they’ve really jammed pack the information into its pages. But it’s worth noting, in case anyone is wondering or prefers larger text (even if that means a larger book entirely).
There is a lot of information — possibly more than what you need to know! It could be overwhelming, perhaps. Especially if you don’t want to actually use your crystals, and are instead just mildly curious about them. If you just want the basic info on the more popular crystals, then perhaps it’s worth looking into something a little less in-depth!
It comes down to what you personally need/want from a crystal guidebook. Let me know if you have any questions, even specific ones if you’re wondering about what information it includes.
