Tarot Spreads for Clarity Part Two: Mixing it up with Oracles, Charms & More!
Hey everyone! Welcome back to my blog, or if you’re new here, hi! My name is Ebonie and my hope for this blog and my YouTube channel is that it will help you to reconnect with your intuition. Welcome to Part Two of Tarot Spreads for Clarity – showing you how to use a variety of different oracle cards alongside tarot, charm casting and rune stones.
I do recommend checking out Part One first – click to read and watch it here!
In Part One, I share two spreads that will help you to find clarity and take action on your goals.
Today in Part Two, I want to demonstrate how to mix things up – using more than just one deck of cards. I love using rune stones, charms and multiple decks in my readings, as it adds so much depth and it’s honestly really fun! As I said in Part One, it’s not necessary to do – but if you’re curious how that might work, this video is for you!
The example I’ll share today uses the ‘Take Action’ three card layout, two different oracle decks, Tarot, charms and last but not least, a rune stone. I’ll show you how all these different forms of divination work together in a spread, to form a cohesive and detailed reading.
Scroll to the bottom of this page for more information and resources! And as mentioned, check out last week’s post to learn more about the ‘Take Action’ spread I’ll use today, as well as the ‘Clarity’ Spread from Part One.
I hope that this post is helpful! If you enjoy it, please consider subscribing to the YouTube channel above!
Now let’s flash back in time, by the power of editing, to continue on from last week!

Using Different Card Decks
The Oracle cards that I use in today’s example are the The Cosmic Guidance Oracle by Annie Tarasova and The Starseed Oracle by Rebecca Campbell & Danielle Noel. The Tarot card deck is the The Smith-Waite Tarot Centennial Edition Deck.
What card decks you use is totally up to you! Whether they’re a mixture of two different oracles plus tarot, all from one Oracle deck or all from one Tarot deck, depends on what you feel like using, and what you have. You don’t need to go out and buy a variety, I’ve accumulated these decks over time. I use them every day as I’m learning and as you see today, I love sharing them in photos and videos!
Using different decks simply brings different voices to the reading. In today’s example, using the ‘Take Action’ spread, how you read the cards also depends on their position in the layout. For more about the ‘Take Action’ layout used today, refer to last week’s post.
The cards used in a layout are interchangeable, just like in any reading. I like to start by reading each card individually, then work out how they can come together to form an overarching story, or discover themes that may recur across them, that may need to be focused on.
I’d love to know, what is your favourite Oracle or Tarot deck? Have you tried using multiple decks in a reading before? Comment below!

Adding Charms and Rune Stones
When it comes to using charms and rune stones, I have videos on both these topics if you’d like to learn more! I’ll link them below if you’re curious. In today’s example, I show how to add them to the ‘Take Action’ spread. Adding charms and rune stones to a Tarot or Oracle card reading allows for yet another layer, another voice that can help guide you.
Charms add extra symbology, with each charm signifying certain aspects to be aware of in the reading. For instance, the snake symbol can represent deception, which in today’s example, I read as meaning, watch out for deceptive thoughts and limiting beliefs.
When using charms alongside cards, they can work really wonderfully together. When the cards are being used in a specific layout, they can be really helpful in drawing out extra meanings, too.
Again using the snake symbol, this charm fell on a card in the ‘Focus’ position of the layout. The card was asking me to focus more on resting and nourishment. The snake therefore could be a warning — if I continue to push myself and not focus on gaining better work/life balance, then I risk letting negative, limiting beliefs getting me down.
In terms of the broader meaning of the ‘Take Action’ spread, if I don’t take this advice, I may be hindering the success of my goals.
If you want to, you can make your own rune stones and charms can be absolutely anything – from gemstones to pieces of jewellery, keepsakes to coins. So if you want to try casting charms or rune stones but don’t have your own sets yet, just do what you can for now! Check out the links below too to learn more — I hope that helps!
